Ok!I have tried twice this week to make honeycomb because I promised it to my kids. I seem to have done everything right but it only fizzes for a minute when I put in the bicarb soda and then looks like honey when I pour it in the tin....What am I doing wrong? Does anyone have a no fail recipe????? I am starting to feel a bit of a failure. Most of my other recipes work out!

I'm wondering what exactly you're trying to make. The only honeycomb I know of is cut right out of the hive. You cut off a little piece and suck the honey out. The wax you just spit out. It's awesome because it never goes bad. We have 2 chunks of honeycomb in our fridge that we got when SD12 was about 1! :-) I'm curious about what you're trying to make though.

Vacant (comment below) calls it sponge toffee. I think it is an Australian term to call it honeycomb. We also coat it in chocolate and you can buy it callede violet crumble or crunchie from the sweet shops.
