The latest lingerie...Has the thong had it's day?

I recently had a discussion with a good guy friend of mine as I was asking what type of lingerie is his favorite. He said he used to say the thong, but now he says that it's become too predictable and too standard. He said at first it was fun when it was all the rage, but now it's expected and not exciting anymore.
What do you think? Has the thong had it's day? If so, what's the next greatest thing in lingerie?

Thongs are still good for some occasions (I wear them for formal dress events because they don't show a pantyline with my favourite silky dress). But my hubby thinks the brazilian cut panties are much sexier now, and I love them. So I'd say fuller cuts like brazilians are definately a growing trend recently, and they pair beautifully with either a lacy bra or bustier, whatever you like.

I think you're right about brazilian panties. You know, it seems like hiphuggers are on the rise too--which I just don't get. They seem eerily similar to granny panties. Boyshorts are so much better than those!!

No, I don't think so. I'm not really into thongs. I find them uncomfortable but almost everyone I knows prefers using thongs. I haven't witnessed any decrease in thong wearers more like an increase. They all tell me I'm old fashioned for sticking to me bikini undies. LOL
