My mother was operated last year of cataract in her left eye and was done by a foundation backed by their church. That was almost a year ago but until now she was not able to see clearly from her left eye just because the lens was not fit to her according to her new doctor. We were thinking of filing actions to the doctor who operated her but she refuses for fear of scandals that may affect their church. She is now scheduled for another operation on her right eye within this week to different doctor. Do we really be more considerate to our religion instead of our health? Do we chose to keep silent to avoid scandals that may affect our church? Hmmmmm....

Now consider this, what if the same doctor operated on another person and the results are again erroneous. I say that would be pretty bad. Maybe by standing up, the malpractice can stop. But be sure that the case is indeed a malpractice before putting any actions into it.

If I were on your shoes, I would definitely support my mom more than anything or anyone else. The church isn't perfect (nothing is) and if I believed they also have a bit of responsibility over the whole incident, then they should face the allegations or whatever that needs their attention. We just have to made everything legal to go through the whole process.
