Bi-polar, anyone taking Topomax for Bi-polar

And before anyone starts in about not having bi-polar and it is just an excuse, after months of counseling and testing, I am bi-polar. My doc prescribed Topomax, and it seems to work, but the testing done on Topomax for Bi-polar disorder is somewhat confusing. First they say it doesn't work, then they say it does, but only for Bi-polar I. Does anyone have any thoughts they want to share about treatment for bi-polar
