mobile- a status simble, necessity, just another thing or just phone

nowadays mobiles have become a necessity to each n every one......n they r indespensible for social life....it helps me contact my mom n dad whenever i feel like calling them since im in a hostel... but other than that some times mobiles affect my privacy when some unwanted friend calls me while im in a date or meeting...tat n telemerketting really upsets me...

For me it's a lot of things. :) Being a phone is it's primary function, but I use it for all sorts of other stuff. Music, Internet, TV,... today a mobile can't be just a phone, and nothing else, technology evolved far beyond that point.
