It depends on what you are intending to sell on eBay. I was fairly successful selling handcrafted items on eBay. However, I have now found a site called Etsy that is dedicated to handcrafted stuff, so I tend to post on their more frequently. If I have used clothing and other such things, I will post them on eBay and they usually sell. Good luck with your eBay venture! It can be very very rewarding.

It is very possible to earn a "good" income selling on Ebay, however it is also a very competitive market, especially with the recent influx of corporations and larger businesses who have lower costs of goods, and continue to drive down the prices. Also, Ebay continues to raise their listing fees which make it hard to profit, since many items have a low listing:sale ratio. Of course, if you have a unique product niche, than you will continue to do well despite the new competition. Generally speaking, your success on Ebay is dependent on what exactly you intend to sell. So my advice to you, is thoroughly research the markets you're interested in selling in, so that you aren't caught by surprise.
