I don't believe that destiny = karma. They're not the same. What one does can alter his karma, and perhaps affect his destiny. But they are not synonymous. To answer your question, I think we all have the power to carve our own destinies. Lance Armstrong could have just rolled over when faced with cancer, but he survived it, kept training and won races. It all depends on what's inside each individual that determines his or her destiny.

Yes, i do believe that theres really someone who is meant for you..Maybe, not now, but time will come that you didn't expected that you can find this person. Sometimes, if we find someone whom loving us, were thinking that he is the one, but sometimes, we're wrong..If you really meant to be, wherever you are, even though he's on the other side of the world, if your destined with each other, you dont the time..

Yes I do think that we have a destiny, or fate, that we choose before we are born, a purpose or reason that causes us to be born to the lives we are in, the parents we have the families etc. I also think we have free will, that we can change, or alter, or ingore that destiny, that there are times when we fight it so hard we struggle, and other times when we just choose with out even realizing we are making choices that will change our destinies. I think that we each have a reason it can be a small as being some where to stop a small child from crossing the street when they may have gotten hit by a car, and what if that child was say someone like Ghandi, or the doctor who finds the cure for some life threatening ailment. It may be a huge destiny that it could be you were the one born to end hunger, but what ever it is we choose certain reasons to be born, and we are then born to our lives but forget what our purposes or destinies, or fates may be, for this reason we have to go through life living learning growing, We have the free will to make our own choices. Using the above example you could make the choice to not go down the street which would have had you prevent that child from being hit by a car, or you could decide that you just do not want to study medicine so if you were meant to cure some dire ailment you don't. It is choice, we have choices in our lives, in who we want to be, and how we want to live our lives. To some degree, fate will try to help us, guide us, intervene on our behalf, but ultimate it is up to us to choose, so we can change things make them better or worse, or completely different from what they might be.

Yes I do. Though I have not really felt the pull of destiny as you described. :/ But still, I believe there is something there just *waiting* for me. ;-)
