Corrupting Cartoons

As I mentioned before in one of my earlier discussions: I really miss the old cartoons. What bothers me is why they were taken off. Buggs Bunny for example. He was too violent? What? Everyone I knew who had watched those cartoons never ONCE had the idea of throwing someone off a cliff because Buggs Bunny did. Or I never felt like shooting someone because Elmer Fudd did. I have never toughed a gun in my life and will never have the desire to. All of my friends grew up with the same cartoons and their minds were not "warped" because of these cartoons. And if you look at the cartoons they have today, there isn't much of a difference. Guns were replaced with ninja-like fighting! That's still violent! What do you think? DO you think it's ridiculous that these cartoons were taken off air because of that, or do you think it was the right thing to do? All opinions are welcomed and won't be criticized by me. Promise! =)

I think the new cartoons are much more violent. The old ones were not violent. You never saw a person do those things only animals. Today I would not let my grandkids watch those new cartoons. Buggs Bunny was just great. Our kids would laugh and laugh. They never acted them out on each other..

Bring back the old cartoons, we managed to not be messed up by them. I do have to admit that some of them were violent. I cringe when I see some of the stuff on tv now. Bart Simpson is a big one, he has been on a long time.

I liked all of the older and classic cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, The Roadrunner, and many others. I liked them better than the current cartoons they are showing now. I do think it is ridiculous for them to say cartoons are violent or the language is inappropriate. I guess they are trying to think in the childs best interest by doing something like that so that is good but not all cartoons should be taken off the air.
