what kind of public transportation you ride when going to work or school?

this is a question to all the COMMUTERS across the globe...
aside from taxi/cab, bus and train/subway, what other means of public transportation you often ride in your country? are there any unique PUV in your country?
when i was still in college here in the Philippines, i always took tricycle and then jeepney (only in the Philippines!) and then the train(LRT). it's a 40 minute travelling time to get to school from home. :)

when i was in high school i used to ride in a tricycle very often because we need to save money during that time,but now that i am working in far places i will need to take a ride in jeepney and bus going to my work place,and aside from that i don't ride in a tricycle because the fare is more expensive rather than in jeepney.

Count me in, kabayan! When I was in highschool, I also took tricycle in going to school because that's the main transportation in our province. When I was in college, I don't have to take any because the University is just way across my apartment, so I'll just take time in walking under the heat of the sun. lol. :)

I don't know was the tricycle I had try before were the same. I was driving for almost 10 years now so I guess I had almost forgot all those old days public transports I had used and too bad there isn't any unigue PUV to be share with you all here as the main were buses and cabs till now:)

If I have to take public transportation it is the train. Usually the only form of transport I use is my feet, though! It is also not an unheard of thing to see people riding on the edge of the motorway in a horse drawn buggy.
