Is the onset of juvenile diabetes in recent years due to poor nutrition?

Has the food industry filled our children's food with so many high fructose corn syrups, fats, white sugars and the like that children have been adversely affected? My brother was diagnosed with diabetes last year. He is nine. How else could this be happening so often, to so many kids?

It's due to many different circumstances. Some of those include.... 1) Less activity. More and more kids just sit on the couch and play video games. If they aren't playing video games, they are on the computer. Think about it, those of you that are around 25-30 years old, what did you do 15 years ago? You were outside running around BEING ACTIVE. 2) Parents give into their kids. Parents are the control mechanism in a child's growth. However, it seems more and more parents just give their kids what they want to shut them up. If the kid wants a cookie, the parents give them a cookie. 3) More and more fast food and take out. Instead of cooking home cooked meals more families are on the run and therefore have to do take out. Some also have to look at what type of diabetes the person got. Don't forget, there are still two major types out there with totally different causes.
