The idea of electing actors/ actresses or any movie personalities for a senatorial or presidential post is no longer a surprise. But are they capable of handling the positions they have been elected to? These people take advantage of their famous status and most of them do not have any background to legislate a law. I wonder why they still have the courage to remain in their posts.

I do not condone actors and actresses running for elections because its their right. It is up to the electorate if they will vote for them. For me, as long as these people have the right qualifications i.e. ... they have earned their degree or have good educational background on what they are running for, have a proven track record on government service, and willing to serve the public wholeheartedly...then there's no harm in electing them. Remember Ronald Reagan??...he's an actor and yet had been a good US president. The electorate must be wise enough to know the background of these candidates and to vote wisely.
