LInux or Windows???

What do u prefer,Windows or Linux?there are certainly their advantages and disadvantages of both.as much as i have heard that linux is best suited for networkig while for desktop its windows which rules. what do you think of it?share your ideas.....

Windows it is certainly having more advanatages than linux.It is user-friendly too.

Have you ever tried linux anup.It has also so many advantages which windows don't.Its an open source system.Anyway,yoou are not wrong.

If it was few years back I would have supported your view that Linux is just good for networking. But now I don't think so. Linux distros now comes with very easy to use GUI's. Let us take opensuse as an example. As a user of this distro I never needed to use the command line. Almost all system related tasks can be done through easy to use GUI that comes with this distro. I never use windows now. I watch movies, listen songs, play games, programming, chatting, browsing and everything on my Linux system. What more do you expect from a free operating system? Even you can beautify your system the way you want, with all the 3D desktop effects and everything else. Do not go for others words. Try a Linux distro and then decide. Initially you may find some difficulty, but once you get used to it I am sure you would love Linux which comes for the price of air.

Thats the advantage of usung Linux that if you are used to it you will like it very much and you won't be after windows.People are slowly inclined to it.But definitely it will take time for linux to overcome windows.

windows has many bugs and security hole, so, Linux is the OS for networking... more safer and it's open source.. reduce ur cost demand...

IF you are a computer master, you use the linux, if you are a new player, i think windows is a good choice, yes, the linux is suited for networking, so i was used in the area of server, but as a plain PC user, I advice you use windows

I use linux. Why? Because if there is something broken i can fix it. In windows I just can reinstall it. And I like the choice Linux gives me. I use Kubuntu dapper. Ubuntu is the best distro

Basically in terms of popularity Windows OS gets a higher vote while in terms of cost efficiency and stability, Linux distros take over. Regarding hw support, it depends on which flavor of linux will be compared with Windows. Functionality and ease of use, most will say Windows because they are used to using it but with newbies trying both types of Os, it's more of a draw.

i use both the windows n linux. i generally use windows for playing games or watching movies, or other things that r easier done by GUI. but for other things i use linux because linux is much more powerful than windows when used in command mode.

Im much preferred using Windows Operating System, this is easy to use, easy to setup and user friendly.
