Weather: Yeah I like weather. So make fun of me. Yes I take daily weather observations, yes I have the weather channel’s homepage bookmarked, why yes I did grow up watching the weather channel. Heck whenever I see the slightest hint of severe weather I am out there with a camera praying for a tornado! Well not a destructive one…just something interesting to see. I’m going storm chasing in June for a week in the Great Plains which should be awesome!!! I’m still majoring in atmospheric science, but we’ll see how long that lasts at the rate my grades are going…! Music: Music has been one of the few things I’m actually good at. I started piano when I was 6, and never really took advantage of it until a couple years ago when I realized how much I enjoy it. I’ve got hundreds of songs here that I like playing through when I’m bored. I was in the marching band the past two years. We won the Sun Bowl in 03 and lost at the Capital One Bowl in 04. I have so many great memories from marching band. Symphonic band is also fun, we’ve played some excellent concerts. Sports: Lacking any sort of gift for athletics, I still enjoy playing sports. My only history playing is middle school tennis…which by no means would I ever consider that experience, yet it was still fun. Tennis is the only sport I’m good at; I try to play every day even just to practice for an hour or so. I play basketball, can’t dribble well but I have a good shot! Other than that I’ve tried everything else…just bad at them! Outdoors: I was born to live outside! All my life I’ve tried to spend all my free time outside. Being cooped up inside is the ultimate disaster for me! Biking has always been one of my favorite outdoor activities, and 2 summers ago I discovered how much I love taking long bikerides. I could spend an entire summer evening biking out 30 miles through the country just watching and seeing new things. It is so peaceful and stress relieving! Oh and I guess the exercise is good as well! Other than that, I’ll take any indoor activity and try to make it an outdoor activity just so I can be outside! Thus I love late spring and summer, the warmth is great!
