wanted someone to drive him from appt to appt as his assitant (told him i wasn't interested- I prefer office work) one i met with yesterday and its for a womans footwear company, they seemed nice but have a lot of applicants, and the third was suppose to call me today with a time to meet and i have yet to hear from them..guess i am stuck here for a while longer..sigh..not that i mind being on mylot when the boss isn't here I just feel like my skills are wasting away. I also have decided that i want to find the right job and not just take anything, so say a pryer for me in hopes that something will come my way soon.....thanks to all of you for all your support and prayers during my blah days.

Well I guess it's better to wait, and be very sure you get the right job, before jumping into something new, but it is bad to be so unhappy in your work:-(( After all, we spend many hours every day there - so ought to at least be able to enjoy it. I ate what I'm doing at the moment too:-(( But difference is I know it is only for a finite period - and at least the people are nice - it's just the hours, and the actua workload that get me down. Unlike you, I'm not bored, or wasting my sklls - I just don't have enough hours in the day to do what I need to do to keep up. So guess it is hard to please everyone. Anyway - good luck!!!! Keep cheerful, and smiling! Your fun posts always bring a ray of sunshne to MyLot!

Well I trained as a Journalist at College, but these past 15 years or so I've been working for the Government - sssssh - top secret, - LOL - dealing with immigration, refugees, and asylum seekers. I am still employed by HM Government now for tis temporasry contract, but in a totally different section, and department, basically working on the design of some new projects to do with the very early stages of the 2012 Olympics. It is interesting, but a complete change, and very diffeent from what I've been doing these past 15 years or so. To be honest I feel like I'm floundering and wading through treacle half the time - LOL! How about you?

Hang on dear. Take it a day at a time. It will come. Father, please open the door to the right job for shambuca. Lord, direct her, and until then, give her peace and remove all her anxiety. Thank you Father. In Jesus's name I pray, amen.

I understand how you feel and I pray that the right job will come along for you. I know it's easy to say, but be patient and keep sending out resumes. At least you have a job for now and can entertain yourself on myLot. You don't want to take the wrong job, because you're right about wasting your skills; you want to utilize your skills and keep them sharp, and you also want to enjoy what you're doing. We spend so much time out of our lives working that it is a shame to settle for a less than desirable job. Hang in for a little while longer. A lot of companies hire in the springtime, after the first quarter of the new year. Again, I hope that something turns up soon.

well, not all are really lucky to do the things they want in life and having the job that they really wanted. we all must have to wait for our time to shine and while waiting we have to settle for what we already have and enjoy them while they last.

That's ok. You're not alone. I'm having a hard time looking for an office job too. But I kept ending up with a not office work. So I decided to go back to school and now I'm waiting for the acceptance letter. I'm bored too and I don't know how to start a life. As we grow older, we are mostly gets most pressure with life that's why I'd love to go back to my kiddie days. Now I can say that the used to say take your time don't go in a hurry by adults were proven. Don't worry, you're gonna be okay. Just pray ^_~.

i will advise you exercise a little more patience. good things take some time to show and in that period not so good alternatives will show. be careful not to accept the wrong job that will make you start looking for the next exit point. put ur skills into other productive use now you have the time and you wont regret it

good luck with the job hunting, it looks like a response for every 10 applications so the more you send out the more chance you have of getting the one you want.

I have said a little prayer for you that the perfect job will come along. My last job seemed to be that way for me. I actually got offered a job in a doctor's surgery while I was there for an appointment. It turned out to be a wonderfull place to work and I had so many special friends there. So I believe God puts you where you are meant to be. I had better add that I only left because we moved interstate otherwise I would probably retire there!

It's tough out there sometimes. If you have a job I guess the best thing to do is keep hoping you will find the right one and move when you get the chance. Best of luck in your searches and know that you are not alone in hoping to find the right job that will finally make you want to get up and go each day.... it will happen!

I think it's better to at least sit tight and wait till the very right job comes along. There's no point in wasting away at home and then taking the first job that comes along. At least for now you have a job that will tide you over until something better comes along and thats good. You can still pay the bills and everything until you get something else. I shall say a prayer that something better comes along soon for you, and I shall ask my Angels to help you too. Good Luck!
