What is your favorite quote?

One of my hobbies is collecting quotes from books I've read or things I've heard in music or on the television. I have tons of journals on my bookshelves with quotes I've recorded. And I have a very hard time passing up the chance to find new journals or books on quotations whenever I pass by a bookstore.
One of my favorite quotes on friendship is by Anais Nin:
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by meeting that a new world is born."

Those are both great! I laughed out loud at the image of someone trying to ski through a revolving door! It made me think of one of those old Disney cartoons with Goofy on skis and all the trouble he got into when he'd fall down or ski off a cliff!
I really love the second quote about having a purpose in life. Do you know who said it?

Well, I used to collect funny quotes and new-made proverbs and sayings. They are in Russian, so I don't think that would be interesting for an English-speaking site.
But I remembered a saying by Coco Chanel which I liked very much: "A woman has the age she deserves". That's true.

I have tons of favorites so I'll share one that is taped to my desk.. so I have to look at it every day. "Try to have absolute acceptance of those you love the most." I don't know's quote it is.

these are my favorite quotes.one is from Coco Chanel:“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.”.it is very encouraging to think for yourself and don't care about what other people may think.another is "I don't like to be labeled as lonely just because I am alone" by Delta Burke.I love how this quotation empowers being single.
