I think the school Oprah created for those girls is great. Sometimes we don't realize how lucky we have it here in America. These kids have to pay to go to school just to learn how to read. While watching the show, I cried because i was so happy for those girls.

Yes. It was awesome. Those girls needed that school. That country needed that school. I can't wait for updates on the girls progress.

Oprah is awesome! I don't blame her one bit for building the school and donating all her time and money in Africa. At least the children there are happy and grateful to receive what she has to offer. It used to be a joy and privilage for American children to attend school and now, some kids refuse or just use school as "social time". It is a crying shame that American children take all that they are given and spit in the faces of those who provide it. Oprah isn't looking to change the lives of a few children by creating this opportunity, she is looking to change all African people by educating these fine girls so that they can grow, learn and then lead their country to a better era.

No, I missed this episode but wish that I could've seen it! What Oprah did for those girls is wonderful! Go figure that the media would try to criticise what she did. Did you hear how people were suggesting that she should've done this in America rather than Africa? When Oprah was confronted with this idea she made a very eyeopening statement. She said how you can ask a child in America what they want and they will reply with something along the lines of: "an ipod". You ask a child in Africa this same question and they reply "an education".
