Or is a private website the best way? Anyone have experience selling any type of collectibles on eBay? I see they have millions of listings for collectible items and I fear mine might get "lost in the shuffle". What is your advice, please?

eBay is a great way to sell your collectables, there are thousands of people there looking for items for their own collections. The best advice I can offer you is to make sure you have a really good clear photograph, and a very clear and thorough description of your item. Be as detailed as possible. note any faults or defects, and any damage too, people want to know exactly what you have to sell. Make sure you list them in the correct area too, people looking will usually use a specific search on eBay.

i think that ebay is an alright place to sell collectables. i mean there are millions, and millions of people that use ebay everyday. theres usually somebody out there that wants something on ebay. but if there are a lot of the same kind of collectebles on ebay already, you might not have such a great chance in selling it. thats just my advise.
