I am so proud of her, I support her even though her grandmother is so old fashion. My 16 year old daughter is a young woman with a huge heart. She wants to help so many people. She signed up to fast for 30 hours for World Vision and now she is going to shave her head bald and donate her beautiful long hair to cancer patients. She volunteers at the hospital and animal shelter, and now she is going to cut all her hair off in the dead of winter. She has a lot more guts than I do. Would you shave all your hair off for a worthy cause?? I think i would.

I think you should be very proud of your daughter. She sounds like one that others should be looking to for a good example. It's not often you hear about teens doing such wonderful things. She's a real treasure. I'd like to say I would do the same. After all hair grows back for us. Those with cancer and dealing with all that is happening to them the hair might not.

Thats what I told her grandmother, its just hair and it will grow back. Her hair is to the middle of her back and really healthy and beautiful. Its gonna be an adjustment to say the least getting use to a bald teenage girl. thanks for posting.
