World Cup would be a Test for Batsmen

India

Hi friends, by looking at the practice matches till now, it is pretty much clear the the pitches in the West Indies are not like the batsmen paradise which we get at home. On Indian pitches the batsmen can hit through the line and are comfortable to get on their front foot and hit the ball on the up. But the practice matches have shown that the batsmen with strong skills and patience will be successful. Who do you think in the given condition would be the most successful batsmen for India in the World Cup??

I agree that it will be difficult to score but I think that all our players are experienced enough to know how to play. I would expect Dravid,Sachin and Ganguly to score a lot of runs and Sachin to be the most successful. I think that Uthappa may not have such a good tour because he is too agressive sometimes and throws his wicket away quite easily (he lacks patience and I completely agree that batmen need to be patient here in West Indies' pitches).

I agree with you. The trio Dravid, ganguly and Sachin are going to play major role for India in the World Cup. They are the most experienced of the lot and I think they are going to take up the responsibility.
