Yes, we all know that downloading music is a crime by law, but do you think it is or should be? I don't, I think that artists make enough money by doing concerts and going on shows (radio, talk, late night, daytime, camios, movies, etc.). Even though many people download music, there's still a lot of people who buy the actual cds in the stores! I know that these artists work very hard to make money and should get paid for what they do, but they do! Even if they're not getting every single penny that they would be getting if it weren't for downloading music they're still living in mansions and driving nice cars and so on and so forth so what are they really complaining about? It just sounds selfish and greedy to me when they cry about downloading music! I mean, what about us??!! The one's who can't even afford to buy their stupid cds so we have to burn them! Some artists act like they just want to share their music but they're really just in it for the money! If they weren't then they would just be happy that someone took the time to download THEIR song instead of thinking about the $$$!

it is a crime but i think most artists will still make a lot of money even with piracy going on. If no one bought CDs anymore then that would be a problem. But its not happening right now so there is no problem.

Actually I can say that I really don't know anyone who "buys" cd's anymore! Everyone I know downloads and makes their own cds! It's easier but yes you are right, these artists make so much money doing other things as I've mentioned in the above comment.

It is considered as crime but it is done in bulk. Though it affects the earning of artists. I think if it is downloaded on internet then it must used/downloaded by others too. Through publicity artist already earn too much, so he/she should not worry much.
