Teens on the Net - How much safe?

Teens on the net can be safe, provided they are educated about the benefits and bad elements present in the Internet. It is totally wrong to completely deny them access to the Internet. However, they should be encouraged to take Internet relationships lightly, never to reveal their photographs, telephone numbers, address or any other personal information. A case in point is the recent outburst against Orkut, where false profiles had been created of individuals. So, even close friends can harm you, if you allow too much access into your private life. Teenagers should be completely shown the true picture of Internet, there are sites which give misinformation, hate sites etc. Information if power and the people who know how to use the Internet can derive maximum benefit.
