I have been smoking for 30 years .. I have watched many family members die from smoking related illness... but yet cannot find the will power to follow thru with quitting smoking. I have tried so many times to quit that I cannot even begin to count. I asked my doctor for help and his reply has always been the only way to quit is to just quit. He would not prescribe me zyban, stating it was a poor depression drug and therefore would be a poor help for my quitting smoking. I have tried writing the reasons why I wish to stop smoking.. main one being my kids and yet I am a failure. I truly believed this last time I would quit forever, but it did not last two full weeks!!! Any help or letters of support would be so greatly appreciated!!!

I'm having the same problem as you are. I also have absolutely no will power, I had a script for zyban but was scared to take it cause it can cause a siezure. I know that quit smoking products are very costly and i never have the extra cash for that. My stressfull life has alot to do with it and I'm finding that its mostly a habit if I could just readjust some things that might make it a little easier.
