Fire kills 8 children and 1 mother

After hearing this on the news today, my heart and prayers go out to all the families who share the loss of all these people in one fire. What makes this story so sad is that this fire started because of a space heater. The plug got hot, and sparked a flame, and the whole house went up in flames. Batteries in detectors were dead. If by any chance, anyone that reads this uses space heaters, please check them, replace batteries in smoke detectors, and God forbid that a fire does start, call 911 IMMEDIATELY!! These few things may save your life,and your children Please pray for these families.

I heard about this and yes it is sad. And the husband/father was visiting family over seas when happen. Last I knew he was enroute flying back to NYC....Thanks for reminding us to check our batteries. My prayers go out to them also.

My heart sunk when I saw your post. I pray that this never happens to another family. We lost two children in our house fire fifteen years ago. It is a horrible experience. My thoughts and prayers go out to these families.
