If I knew you personally, I would probably accept you and respect your preferences, simply because that's my way, and because it's not my place to judge. I might try to impress my opinion on you, but not to the point of force or condemnation (there is a difference between rebuke and judgement). The only opinion I have to offer on idol worship comes from my beliefs as a Christian. The Second Commandment says, "You shall not make for yourself an image, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me, but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments."

I'm a Christian through and through so I must say that I'm strongly against idol worshiping. I have been brought up to believe that there is only one God, one Supreme being who created the world and all that is in it. We worship Him and no one else because it is considered a sin to worship false gods (idols). The Bible clearly states this and for us Christians we respect and believe whatever is written in the Bible because we consider it to be the words of God written by men inspired by Him.

I am Buddhist and we have altar statues of Buddhas, Protectors and Saints. We don't worship the statues but give respect to them as being physical manifestations of the deities to help us practice and emulate them. I don't see anything beneficial in idol worship if it is worshipping an object for its own sake.

I do not support it in the least. NO one on this planet can say they have never had proof of God. They have the planet, the stars in the sky, the wind and the rest of the daily miracles we see.
