At what age do you own your own handphone?

I was 59 when I got mine and that was only a few weeks ago, I put off getting one as I really didn't need one, but now with very old parents I think I need one incase they have to get in touch with me urgently when I am on the computer.

I got a handphone from my mom when I was 13 years old as a gift for my birthday.. ^-^ It's Nokia 3330..

i started to own a handphone when i was 16 years old.but i shared it with my sister.the first phone we bought was a second hand nokia 3310.because that time our budget is so low and we do not have much money to buy new one.well it was just temporary before we work and get some money to buy the new one.we bought it without my father knew.he do not like it.he used to think that we gonna use it to keep in contact with guys.basically my father is very protective and strict.one year later we bought a new model of nokia after started working.but we still share it because we do not use it so often.when my sister moved to university's hostel she bought a new one for herself.while i am still using the same one for 3 years.i wanted to change to new one since the model is quite outdated right now.but not yet found any model which i like

I got mine at 16, after a year of probation with random not so proper "handphones".

I am 28y/o now. I had my first cellphone in year 2000 as a graduation gift from my father. It was a Nokia 3210. unfortunately, I lost it after a week. It was stolen and after a while I found out that the one who stole is one of my boardmates. I recovered it after 2 months.

I got it when I was 14 years old

I got mine when I was fourteen years old and in second year of high school. It was an analog Nokia phone without text mesaging feature. It is on zero plan which means that there is no regular monthly bill. You just pay your usage. It was okay since by that time, there aren't any mobile phone with text messaging feature available.

I got mine when I was 13 years old. Was a surprise gift after I came back from camp.

I get mine when i was 22 years old. Believe me, my parents did not allowed me to have handphone when i was 17 years old, they said it just way too expensive and you will lose it eventually..LOL. And i bought my own handphone at 22 years old.
