What is wrong with people??!!!

Last weekend my family and I went to New Orleans to visit my step brother. I figured it would make an awesome vacation for myself and my children. I could not believe how rude the people were!! For starters we walked up Bourbon street which was awesome and turned off into a Subway sandwich shop. There was 2 girls working about 18 or 19 and I ordered 3 sandwiches and my sister in law ordered 2, I recieved 2 of my sandwhiches and she got 2 one of which was mine so she gave it to me. She then went to the counter and said "I didnt get my other sandwich you gave me the wrong one". The girl said "well I dont know what to tell you I gave you a sandwich thats all I know"...The whole time the other worker is telling the cashier I have her sandwich right here. Frustrated my sister in law tells her that she gave me my sandwich and she is owed one. The cashier says "if you dont like the way im doing things you can take your @$$ across the road to Mcdonalds". I was completely shocked!!! The other worker gave her the sandwhich she was owed and we left. Now aside from that not one person that bumped into me said excuse me. If I held the door for someone they just walked on through!!..What happened to being polite!! Has anyone else been there and experienced the same thing or have I just been brought up differently!? Please let me know!!.......And thanks for letting me rant:)
