What is your favorite tv show that got cancelled before it had a chance

It seems that a lot of shows that I grow fond of get cancelled way to quickly. Some new programs get so many chances while others disappear way too fast. I think the biggest disappointment was a couple season's ago when "Commander-In-Chief" got cancelled to soon. I loved that show. It had good writing, excellent actors and a really good premise, a women becoming President and how she handled it. Donald Sutherland always makes a good "evil" character.

I was really starting to like this little indie show called 'Wolf Lake' that was cancelled after only a few eps.

No hesitation: firefly. How on Earth could someone not like this show? It was invenive, fun, and a lot different from the general "hey we're heroes in space" kind of show that we get. Too good maybe? Just like studio 60 in fact...

It may have been intended as a limited series, with the movie 'Serenity' as the finale... I play that dvd over and over, and wait for the marathons on Sci-Fi...'Firefly' and 'Farscape' were both terrifically good, and are now gone!

I agree with the first person. Wolf Lake was an excellent show and I was so sad to see it go so quickly. Also things that come to mind are Freaks & Geeks & My So Called Life.

Well I don't mean to sound lame but I really liked the show Two Of a Kind with Mary-Kate and Ashley. The show took place when they were like 12-13 years old, and I thought it was really cute. Even though I'm 18 now I think I would still enjoy it. They didn't make too many episodes, and then they took it off the air. And you can't even get it on dvd or vhs which also really sucks!

From what I can tell, NBC pulled one of my favorite shows... Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. I loved the characters and banter on this show. Makes me sad to see it go. :(

I can't say that I loved "Studio 60..." but I thought that it was a good show. I was sad to see it go, but not really suprised.

Commander-in-Chief was pretty good.. It would have been interesting to see where that show would have gone.. if it continued. The past season.. it was of course.. Studio 60. I don't just don't understand why it never caught on. Maybe because it was on Monday nights? I don't know. It was by far the anticipated show of last season. Do you think it would help if there was some form of a letter or e-mail writing campain?

I loved Commmander-in-Chief. I thought that it was a really good show. Studio 60 was another good one. I don't understand why they didn't catch on. I heard about a campaign involving sending peanuts to the network helped get a couple more episodes of Jericho on the air, but I have never seen them. I wonder if the episodes that were promised will be in the fall season? I usually send an e-mail when a network or studio ends a show to early. Does it work? Maybe someday it will.

I started watching Swingtown and am really enjoy it. However any shows that I like tend to get cancelled and Swington isn't getting super ratings right now.

I really was getting into the show called "Runaway". It was a new show on WB/now CW. I really liked it, but it just stopped showing for some reason. I thought it was a big hit. Oh well.

I didn't hear of that one, either. I don't think that "The Nine" about the nine people stuck in a bank during a two day standoff with the police will ever return either.
