There are numerous inventions that influenced the development of human life. I also understand that it is a much difficult task to point out the most influential of all these inventions. Right from the invention of fire by premitive man to the most modern invention in genetics etc. which one will you name the most influential?

My feeling is that the most influential invention that has ever been made is the automoble and airplane. This gave humans the ability to travel and they haven't stoped sense. As a result of this there is hardly anywhere on earth that man has not been. There are both good and bad to this of course. Without that ability there were very close nit communities where everyone knew everyone else. Now that is hard to find. The good is that we are now able to find work that would have not been available to us before.

But of course that came first as with any invention that finally comes along that does the most good there is always something preceeding it making it possible. Thanks for the reminder and clarification.

I think the greatest invention that influenced the history of mankind is the paper clip. Just imaging how anything else could be invented with all the papers flying about and in a mess. I have heard that the inventors were two street dwelling brothers, and that they became billionaires later.

fire is one of the best regardless of the primitiveness electricity is by far one of the best along with pipe water the basics to me are the best as we tend to depend on them more

Of course here was some great invention that make human race to be where is it now...i will not say because we all know...but after me,the most great invention in last time and with big impact to all humanity (and still we can't say or predict what will mean in future) is INTERNET!! Internet is a great great invention which will keep in touch every second people from all around the globe! augusta

There is no doubt that internet is one of the most effective inventions man has made. It almost make possible any thing. Consultation with a phsician thousands of kilometers away is easily possible today with the assitance of the internet. The possibilities are countless.
