Sometimes I write what I would call "dark" poetry. I vent, completely and totally. I "tell it like it is", no holds barred. I wonder if there are others out there who write "dark" poetry?

I have some examples of my poetry on my web page and I also write for a couple of websites. My dark poetry is as yet unpublished. I think I may publish it at a future date. Thanks for responding.

It is writing about painful experiences, the bad things in the world, stuff like that. I call it dark poetry for lack of a better term. Thanks for responding.

I used to, but it's really an exercise in futility. To acknowledge your sufferings and negativity is only a first, but necessary, step. To find their source and the way to free yourself from them are healing. Just writing and wallowing in the darkness is harmful to yourself- not to get all Zen on you :P

I agree. But sometimes writing about the darkness helps you to find your way out. It can be therapeutic. Thanks for responding.
