Is freedom an illusion?

I live in the U.S. where we are supposed to be completely free, is that just an illusion that the government uses to make us think we are free? To me it seems are freedom is getting taken away slowly, and it is starting to irritate me.

Completely free? Are you kidding? I have to work to pay taxes and bills...kids are not free as they have to go to school...no one is FREE

I dn't think its an illusion. Freedom is inner beleif that u r free from everything, u r free to do nything in life, choose whtever u want to be, do whtever u want to do. There is freedom in everybody's life, and if u havn't realized it yet, u wud definately hav a feel of it soon.

Yes, but I meant in the means of the government, and the freedoms the constitution give us. in the u.s.

Yes I think you r right. But not only in U.S. it is practicing that. It is generaly accepted in all the world.
