Me and my friend Samantha were both eight years old and Jimmy was 13 years old. We were all riding our bikes and went to cross the road....needless to say my friends made it across but I did not. The Ambulance rushed me up to Foote Hospital. I have no idea how long I was a Foote but, they had to life flight me to U of M for a CAT scan. I fratured my collar bone and broke my jaw. They ended up putting metal plates in my jaw. I was in the Hospital for a while and I had to eat orange sherbet and things like that because I lost so many fluids. I don't remember alot of what happened but, when I first got hit I heard Samantha scream and that was it. When I got out of the hospital, I pretty much had to learn to walk again. I crawled to the bathroom. My older brothers put some things up in our willow tree to suprise me with. One of my brothers carried me out to the tree to show me what they had done. They put a rope up in the tree to swing on or to climb on. It was a great memory after all the bad things that had happened to me.

What a horrible experience for you to go through but it's wonderful that you do have some good memories of your accident. Your brothers must love you very much to do that for you, I wish I had big brothers like that, all of mine are younger than me.

My big brothers do love me very much I was lucky to have them. My younger brother cares about me more than he shows at times but, he doesn't like letting people know he actually cares about his family.....

OH my Goodness babygirl, you were really in a bad situation. I can only imagine how scared you were.Thank god you made it through...I have heard that a broken collar bone can really hurt.I had a friend that broke his collar bone and he was in a lot of pain...Oh a broken jaw im sure was painful...I have to say you were very courageous to have to learn to walk..I am so happy that you have recovered, and you look beutiful in your picture.I suppose you must be pretty new to mylot because of your (15) number.I think you will really like it here..I got my first pay check yesterday and i was so excited..Did you open a paypal account? I did not open mine right away,I waited until i had made about $10.00 but i did after that...I got paid just once cause i haven't been on Mylot a real long time.Isn't it nice to have a family when you need them?I have 2 brothers, one I am very close too...I will add you to my friends list if you don,t mind,I could use another mylot friends....Welcome to mylot...

Yeah it was a pretty bad experience for me and my family. It's very nice to have family around when I need them! I already had a paypal account because I do data entry and they also pay by pay pal. Thank you for welcoming me here.

It probably sounds weird but you were pretty lucky to have those loving experiences to follow your accident. When my younger daughter was just 2 we were involved in a car accident. Her Dad was pretty much ok and so was her sister but my daughter and I were injured. My daughter was very bad and whisked off to another hospital where a paediatric surgeon was waiting to operate. She was in one hospital and I was in another. None of the family bothered to visit her except for my sister who my daughter wouldn't have recognised anyway. The nurses all felt sorry for her and I found out later they were condemning me because I didn't visit...no-one had told them I was in another hospital. I wonder to this day if that long stay in hospital drove a big wedge between my daughter and I.

Wow that must have been pretty hard on you to be in a different hospital than your daughter. Yeah I was lucky to have my family there to cheer me up after the accident.

It was sad that you had that accident but to come out of it with some good memories is wonderful. You know no matter how you get kidded by your brothers when the chips are down you can always count on them. I come from a family that I had five brothers and four sisters. We were always getting into little tufts. But when we need each other we were there for each other. It is nice to have brothers and sisters to help along the way of growing up. It is wonderful that your brothers took their time to help you out when you needed it.

babygirl, It was fun coming from a big family. There was strive also but we always worked it out. The one thing that I remember was any of the family could be in a argument but let a outsider try to interfere everyone of us would ban together against the outsider. Looking back it was something to see.

Yeah my brothers have been there for me through a ton of different things. I wasn't blessed with any sisters but, my friend Elisabeth has been my sister substitute since I was three years old. You have a pretty big family.
