Work, work, work, is that all there really is to life?

You get up every morning, 7 days a week,(well i do but, that is my choice) you get washed, you get dressed and even fed, (if you have the time) Then you are blessed with the stressful pleasure of traveling until you reach your destination and that can be the most tedious part of the journey through a day in a life of a successful, working human. Working in the US most of the time, i suppose i travel well for a Londoner, who's never been further than France! God i love the Internet! Don't you?

I think if you are bored with working, save up some money and leave your job and live your life a bit. There is no point working hard all the time and having no fun.

To continue in a career you dislike, hate or even despise, has to be the biggest dose of self torture you could inflict on yourself.(bin there don it) Being stuck in a hole, where you have no other choice but to slog on to keep the wolf from the door, really is a nightmare on 'your' street! The solution to this is,never send your CV to Freddy Krueger and Michelle, i hope you are enjoying your job or it would be healthier to seek something that gives you a meaning in life as wealth isn't everything and happiness is! I certainly dont spend my life work work working. I specifically found a job local to me, it has different shifts every week, and its above minimum wage. Some weeks i do have little time for life but i enjoy what i have and enjoy work as much as i can so i dont feel stressed from it. I would rather be poor and have spare time for life than have money and possessions and no spare time at all. Thankfully i can enjoy to free and simple things in life very easily.

Dude you've gotta take some time off! Every morning on your way to work, look outside and watch the birds, look at the sky, look at nature and think about the world and why you're here. Dont let life pass you by. Before you know it you'll be old and thinking 'where did the last 50 years go?' and you'll be fascinated by little things like lady beetles and spider webs :-) Enjoy life now while you're young.

I use to feel like that years ago. Work work and more work, the occasional outing with friends, but my life was revolved around my job, until I met my husband. A year later, we decided to move to Samoa, a new lifestlye and change, and I was all for it. I was tired of working for the same company for over 10 years and I was ready for the change. Six years later, his job has brought us to the USA. I am now a full time homemaker and enjoy taking care of my son. I love not working and I do love the internet too LOL

Yes after becoming adult, it's the only thing left in our life to maintain our status and spendture of our home and family . If we won't work there would be no income and then we will be soon in debits .

I agree, working every day at a job that is unrewarding and unsatisfying can be very tedious. This is a time when you have to start thinking about making some changes in your life. To really think about what you want to be doing but there is nothing more rewarding at the end of day as in knowing that you are contributing to your own life. If feels good to know that you are working and taking care of all your financial needs. Life is way too hard and too short to be unhappy.

Unfortunately...work we must, but looking back at my life and if I could have a redo. I would first do a little soul searching and pursue a career that I truly loved. I am certain loving what you are doing and being very passionate about it, is what takes away the drudgery. If a person loves to cook, and they work from 9-5 in an office...where's the joy in that. If your heart bleeds for the homeless and you spend your days in front of a computer, maybe you need to find a soup kitchen. Pursue a passion, that just has to be the key...SS

The work if done with an interest then you don't find it boring but if you are working for some one else and doesn't add any pleasure in your life then it's the time you should think of your life and not otherwise. If the job you are doing is not in line to expertise and skills then you should try changing it till you find one which is close to your hobby and liking. You should compromise with the salary and earnings when you want to live a life happily. Some times people get confused with this salary and career as important and forget about the enjoyment in the life and repent about the life at late age. You shold determine and deside what has to done and what not precisely and that too well in advance in your youth age only.

When you are bored with your routine life then you should plan for a vacation. It will spice up your life again and you will be charged again to give your best in your organization.I have generally seen people doing this.
