Try this site: http://www.theopencd.org/ a large collection of free and open source software. You can also put them in a cd and give it as a present for you friends...

Hi I use www.freewarefiles.com It is a great site with tons of freewares on all different kind of things ... you can find from a creensaver, to game or antivirus, antispyware ... well pretty much anything I love it!!! Have fun

I use download.com almost exclusively for my software needs. They have just about everything you could need in a freeware version. If you are looking for a specific piece. just search it and then sort by free licences
