We just have to pick a side and fight..... I have just read this quote in a book I have just finished and found it very profound. Internal and external struggles will be the bane of each and every one of our existences for eternity yes? The definition of war is maybe not as clear cut as we might think.....

Warships - War ships.
Yes, there is war everywhere if that's what you might want to mean. Inside us, ourselves, there is war. External, there is war. International, there is war. Problems can never be avoided and when there is struggle, there is war.

That is right. It is true that we say that we are in a continuous struggle as we go through with our day to day lives. In other words, we are at war with so many things as we wade through in order to fight for our righteous place in the earth. Because if we do not, others will trample upon us and rob us of what we have, no matter how little and insignificant these may seem.

I guess that this could make perfect sense if you really think about it, such as look at the war in Iraq. Lots of people are for it and think that we need to be over there, but there are others who seem to differ and would rather want peace. But how about the ones who feel neutral about certain things, such as wars or fighting? There has to be a middle somewhere. Don't you think?

Yes I do. The quote however runs much, much deeper than this. It refers to internal conflicts not just external; and states that we as humans will always be at war with ourselves not just each other. Thanks for responding.
