Cancer vaccine recommended fou all girls

A US Government panel on Thursday recpmmended that girls as young as 11 and young women up to age 26 should be able to get a new vaccine against cervical cancer.

I think the big problem is that this type of cervical cancer/virus is primarily transmitted sexually. People don't want to think about their daughters, especially that young, being active. I know I don't! I also agree that they have approved this too quickly and don't know all the possible side effects. However, even though my 14 year old is not active I worry about things that can happen to her, like, G** forbid, rape. I am still ambivalent about it. I haven't gotten it for her yet, but probably will in the near future. I will definitely recommend that my 20 year old daughter get the shot. I do know that she is active.
