saving $$ for vacation

How do you pay for your vacations? Do you save the money and go somewhere when you can pay for it or do you charge it and pay later?

me and my family have a huge jar of change that we save up for awhile and then by the time we are ready to go on vacation,we end up having a few hundred dollars to go some where.which is really great.with 3 small babies its so hard,so we do what we can.

We also have the vacation jar. I usually will put the money I make from paid sites in there. We just counted one jar yesterday and had $89. That is a good start since our next vacation isn't until next year.

Haven't been on a real vacation in 9 years, this year my credit card points will pay airfare and car rental to Disney, then we will pay for everything else.
I won't use plastic for a vacation. When we went on vacation the last time, we mare reservations then made payments for 9 months before the event.
