I love to play sims 2. I was just wondering what is your favorite part? What do you find you spend most of the time doing? Building? storytelling? decorating? or actually playing? How do you play? Just curious how others play.

I'm a sims 2 addict, and I just love building my sims houses and afterwards, decorating them. I would play the sims, making them work hard, pushing them to get promotions and stuff like that, just so they could earn more money to finance my obsession! And when I finally finish the house of my dreams, I don't stop. I make another family, build another house, start designing it, basically doing the same things over again, but this time, with a different output in mind. To support this, I usually download a lot of custom content from the fansites, and implement them to my game. Maybe someday, I'll get around to designing my own custom content!

I often wished I could design my own, but it seems way too complicated for me= )

I think I like downloading custom content the most. I love dressing my sims up in different outfits, custom hairdos, and silly little things that they can play or interact with. I don't mind building, but it takes a lot of time, and find it easier to just let someone else do the work for me.

I just recently got the seasons expansion pack so lately I have been busy planting gardens and fishing. But I spend most of my time playing. I don't really like to build. My houses end up looking kind of stupid but I don't care. My boyfriend likes to build the houses and do the landscape but he doesn't like to play the people.

Yea, I just got SEasons too. Its pretty cool. I like to build sometimes, play sometimes, it pretty much depends on my mood.

I love The Sims 2 (I even played Sims 1 before Sims 2) and I have all expansions and stuff packs they released! I guess that the main reason I love to play this game is a freedom of creating (the greatest parts of the game are building a character and his home). Genetics are also very impressive in this game. Only thing that comes as a problem is that I get tired of playing a game itself very fast. But then I start all over again, with new characters and new buildings :}

I have kind of a weird thing about playing Sims... I like to start off with a character. Let's say I decide to make her a goth kid. I will then create her house, career, clothing, look, attitude etc.. around this. Once I have that Sim up and going I will pick a new character type and do the same for that one. I have all kinds of add ons and am always looking for more. I create towns of families of people who are all individual. I don't really like playing. I just love building.

Yes me too! Now that I have got the Seasons expansion pack, I have to play it every night before I go to sleep *laughs*. I think I spend most of my time in decorating the house and getting the sims into relationships. I haven't really bothered about working and career that much (I used the cheat code to have a lot of money and make their life easier), but now with the new 6 careers path, I am considering letting my sims try two of those and see how interesting those would be.

I love actually playing. I like to try to get them through all the careers, and build huge houses. I also like having as many Sims as possible in the houses. Depending on my mood, I like to either turn the aging function off until I have gone through all the careers, or else, I'll play the "multi-generational" thing. The ghosts can get out of hand, though, if you don't sell the urns/tombstones. It's a fun game.

Wow, funny to find this... yesterday I bought Sims 8-in-1 collection - the original old Sims with every expansion. I'm overwhelmed with content! But back when I used to play Sims 1 (I also did Sims Online and Sims 2 for awhile), my favorite thing to do was to grab custom superhero skins for my favorite, weird super heros (Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Space Ghost, Martian Manhunter, The Flash, etc), do a money cheat, build them a giant party mansion from scratch, and then just turn them loose and watch. It's amazing how they develop their own little personalities... Space Ghost was obsessively cleaning behind everyone, and Batman just insisted on getting a job, even tho they were rich... Spiderman wouldn't stay out of the pool. Lol

I don't play storytelling. I love to make my sims popular among the people and try to achieve the best of them. I love decorating the houses too!
