I am a graduate and a stayhome mum in Singapore. If a new graduate are paid US$2870, I think the amount should be more for us. Our job is actually 24x7 if we are caring for our young children, the never-ending laundry and ironing, cooking and etc. It's countless. However, I don't think we'll ever get paid or sometimes appreciated for our jobs. We are always being marginalised and forgotten when important governemnt policies are being introduced. Let's just say we are the forgotten lots!!

The salary of housewives should be priceless because they are the people who do the things that their husbands doesn't want to do. This is a multi-tasking job and some are having great time. Therefore, the best reward for these housewives is the family in good shape and progressing well.

I think not contributing to the income of the family just about covers it. Food, rent, gas, clothes, extras...yep, that covers it.

well if you look at everything a housewife do on a daily basic.cook/clean/dr/nurse/mom/gardner/babysitter/an so on.we are worth more than any man can pay.$2870 a month wouldnt cover the cost of all my back achs an pain/stress/an listen to all the crap about how your husband had a bad day at work.so that leaves me with getting paid 0."but i have a man with a heart full of love for me.an that makes up for all the money in the world.
