seasonal affective disorder

It's starting to get sunny again and I'm SO excited because the dreary days and dirty snow REALLY get to me! I hate, hate, hate the winter! This winter has been especially bad because I've been hormonal too...I'm pregnant! Does anyone else suffer from seasonal affective disorder? Do you use medication or other methods to help you cope??

My wife had that disorder really bad. We were in Germany and there was a three month period when there was absolutely no sun. And that wasn't even a Germany record. My wife was trying to get pregnant and it wasn't happening. Stressful pregnancy attempts + seasonal disorder = severe depession and she had to go on medication. Try to get a hobbie or find something you can engulfe yourself in to keep your mind off of it.

Thanks for your advice -- I guess you're not in Germany anymore then? I hope your wife is doing much better these days. Like I said, I am feeling much better now that the snow is finally melting! That and I'm engulfed in my pregnancy...I'm due any day now! YAY!

i suffer from depression all year long but it does seem to get worst during the winter months and the doctor will up my medication although at times that doesnt even seem to help I have to force myself to get outside for at least a few mionutes each day or two and move around sometimes that helps some
