chocolate, roses, teddy bears are this the always first gift a BF gives his GF?

since i was a teen this gifts are the always first gift a girl gets from a boy. and now as an adult this gifts are the one i still see as a gift from a boy to his girl. do you agree with that? teddy bears, chocolate and roses will always be a part of every teen-age life?
i still remember when i first receive a teddy from somebody who likes me during high school.... it was a small one but it was cute.
but now on stores you can avail a lot of different variety, from small ones to really large bears.

i remember my former boyfriends gave my stuffed toys and flowers but i don't really want them. i don't enjoy that stuff much. i like things that came from the heart like the drawings or love letters or just simply a souvenir from a trip (saying that he was thinking of you while he's gone). until now, i don't expect gift even from my husband.

you got a point there, love letters and souvenir from a trip is a cool gift. i also enjoy reading love letters and appreciating things that maybe not that easy to say but so carefully put on writings. thanks for the response.

hahaha yes that is true girls always say that teddy bears are cute. girls like cute things and woman like expensive things. well i think it is more easy to give a gift for the girls than for a woman. thank you very much howard96h.

I say it's because these kind of gifts girls say they like to receive. When a girl see a teddy bear they usually remark how cute they are and that they have many at home sitting on their bed. So the guys know that girls like flowers, candy and bears. The same way girls know that guys don't like to get flowers.

wow!!! well i dont think teens will have a lot of money ti afford expensive gifts. but if a teen would then the receiver is so lucky. thanks for the response

i think they are not just gifts, they are quite symbolic actually. but most of the time, yes, they are the usual first gifts.
teddy bears, like other stuff toys signifies friendship, a good relationship--- based on the origin of teddy bears, back in roosevelt time.
for me, having a teddy bear is like receiving a warm hug. because it's soft, cuddly and totally huggable. i have about a dozen or so. the largest one is about 3 feet tall.
chocolates, because of its taste, definitely sweet, signifies how you want your relationship to be. it was believed that chocolates can melt a woman's heart because of its aprodisiac-like essence. studies showed that 9 out of 10 women like chocolates. me included. :)
flowers, such as roses, are age-old gifts. it's classic. it signifies beauty and admiration. the type, color and fragrance are pretty symbolic too. used for different occasions.
the first roses i received from my current boyfriend--- i kept some of the dried petals and had them personally framed. sentimental? maybe. i just want to reminisce it every now and then. :)
