Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one?

Image of 11.. - 11 is the natural number following 10 and preceding 12. 11 is the first number which cannot be represented by a human using his or her 10 fingures.

Make a try of pronouncing all the numbers, say 21 as twenty one, 24 as twenty four, 35 as thirty five then why not 11 as onety one. Try out your suggession..

Funny idea actually..... If we adopt what you are saying then think about this, the way to prounce 111 is one hundred and onety one... Lolz... anyways thats a funny discussion!!!
