I am not a journalist or an English graduate but I love writing storys. Short stories i can complete but when i plan to write a thin book i get a bit stuck up on the ending part... i have 4 stories having 30 pages (bond paper size) and all 4 has an unfinished ending... Maybe some writers there can give me some tips? please... thank you so much! :P

For me its the other way round. For me start and end is easy. The middle gets tough. How to extend the story and make it lengthy and not dragging? Imagine what would you have done or your character have done. Try to think of the usual endings. Get into the story I can say.

The classic layout if for them to be some issue or adversity that has to be resolved or overcome within the plot. Think what the important events or messages of your story are and how they become resolved and hey presto in thoery there is an ending there. Deiced what loose ends you wish to tie up and what if anything you want to leave as a cliffhanger. I tend to often work the other way round and have an idea of a conclsion but no idea where to start. Have a little fun with it and play out as many ideas as you like in your head. As you said this is something you do for recreation so take the pressure off and enjoy exploring the possibitlities.
