photo's on mylot

Is it your photo on your profile on mylot, i see a lot of peoples profiles when i read respones and discussionn ect, and im pretty sure that most of the photo's i see arent of the actual person, which is funny in the sense that i could put myself on her as a girl and put a pretty picture up as my profile photo and probaly get more responses to discussions ive started.. By the way my profile picture is of Ned Kelly an Australian Legend and Hero.. Do you think this is so or am I just being jealous of all the pretty people..

The idea of using myLot or any other community is to attract more people to your profile and make more number of friends. But yes, putting picture of oppposite gender to misled someone will not let you gain anything because ultimately you will be at loss. It is not true that you attract more people by putting a picture of a girl... Just check out the profiles of the top rated users of mylot and you will know

Most are avatars, family members, actors/actresses and famous singers. No one says you have to use your own photo.

I agree with the fact you dont have to use your own photo, but think that if your going to put a piccy up it should perhaps reflect on you some way. thanx for the comment

The avatar I have on myLot is one that I use with emailcash - http://www.emailcash.com.au/join.asp?refer=I18812. I decided to use this with all web based items, in order to keep the same details wherever possible.
