How many people can you count as close friends?

I really only have one who always comes thru for me. Of course, in the past, I was there for him in time of bad economic problems. Now, when I need a little money, he runs to bring it. This is very wonderful, but I only have ONE friend like this. How many do you have and are they related to you or friends you made over the years?

Well, I have two really close friends. I'm excluding my husband in this since he's, well, my husband.
My best friend Melanie comes through for me in many ways and is the greatest friend I could ever ask for. Then there's Corie who also comes through in many ways. The two of them seem to compliment each other in my life.
I have other close friends, but none who come as close as those two :)
