What is unresolved discussions mean?

I just cant understand what these unresolved discussions mean?Is it the discussions where you havenot selected a best response or is it a discussion which has not been expired from mylot...What is it actually...I ve too many of them...someone please help me out.Im just a beginner here...

what i understand about the unresolved discussion is the one within which we haven't chosen the best response yet. I have many of these because i just don't find any satisfactory answer yet, or about two have not gained any response so far :D

Its one where you havent picked the best responce yet. If you do it resolves it and goes off that screen. :)
