I miss my grandparents so much. They died 3 years ago. I love it when we go to their house every weekend, and talk about anything under the sun. My grandmother would really love to dance with me, and my grandfather would tease us and say, "Stop that, I dance better than you."(hahaha) I miss their presence indeed. They have been good grandparents to all of us. But, just a piece of thought, who do you like better-- your GRANDMOTHER or your GRANDFATHER? Why?

Sorry I won't be able to choose between them...but I can tell you why I loved each of them deeply and differently.. My Grandaddy was a man with a huge heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a hard worker and a strong family man...his children and grandchildren meant the world to him..and he treated each of us as if there were no others...he took time to do special things with us individually and as a group...he stretched the rules a bit...like my Grandma didn't want us to get hurt riding the horses so she would tell him he had to ride with us when we were younger..but we'd get out beyond her line of sight and he'd let me up on the other horse and we'd race each other..riding bareback and laughing all the way...He was a trickster and always had a song for us..My Grandma was an absolutely fabulous seamstress and made me beautiful clothes...she was a marvelous cook and she always made our favorite foods when we came to visit...she was more rule oriented...but had a twinkle in her eye that let you know she was just watching out for you...I loved gathering the eggs with her early in the morning on the farm..and listening to the stories that both of them could tell in the most interesting ways...we were spellbound by their tales..both true or based on folklore...It was a wonderful time in my life when we got to visit them...and the memories I have of their loving home and their relationships with us are forever burned in my heart...I only hope I can create the same kind of bonds and memories for my own grandchildren... I would be very proud if my grandchildren have the same great thoughts of me that I have of my Grandparents...So no , I can't choose..I can only tell you how amazingly blessed I was to have had these people in my life..
