The person we are renting from would like us to move because that she needs to have some work done on this property. Well she told us we could look at another property that she has so we went and looked at it, And there is no way on this earth that that place is clean or even habital. it is in very bad repair, holes in the walls, floor is falling thru has a lot of dog and cat mess and urine in the floor and basically is just nasty, And she is expecting that we will start moving tommorrow into this dump???? We are not going to as it is just really bad. We keep a clean house and do not have pets in the house, so I am wondering how would you feel if someone wanted you to move to another place they were renting that was just a dump. It makes me feel like there are people who just take advantage of others, Also the repairs she has to make are major so we do have to move it can not wait, but we do not have money to move on, so what can we do??? We have been looking for something for a while and can't find anything that we can afford, plus my husband is loosing his job soon so our income will go down any more, Does anyone have any advice as what we can do in this situation, I am more than a little worried. Another reason I am up all night postng and writing on computer trying to make money,

If you don't have alot of money, is the Job and Family services an option. They have a one time payment a year for things like that. The income levels for qualifying is higher than what it is for foodstamps or cash. We also have community action and they help also. I feel for you. Do you have someone that would consider letting you stay with them until you find something else. You could put your things in storage?

I have not heard of the Job and Families option. What do you have to do to aply for that, As for storage most of our stuff is already in storage, as for someone to let us stay with them really there is no one. So this is just a bad situation hopefully thins will be okay anyway though. I am still looking for a place to move today though.

Go up to the Job and family services and ask them if there is some way that they can help you. They may pay for your deposit and first months rent, and utility deposits. They help with things like that . They helped my daughter get into her apartment and helped another friend get their car fixed. Our friend was making $13 an hour and had 3 people in her home. It is worth a shot. It would take alot off of you. You might even be able to just call and ask.

Okay, but does every community have this program? Also ther is 7 in our family and only one working and he's only making about 13 dollars per hour, which is not a lot contrary to popular opinion. And believe it or not the last time we applied for foodstamps we did not qualify because we made too much money??? How they figure that I don't know and groceries cost a lot even the cheapest things I can think of.. Anyway, maybe things will work out soon.

You should consult a legal adviser and try to get a stay order from the court, atleast for further six months. And mention in the stay order application that you can not move for further six months and in no case the owner can trouble you ones you get the court stay order. Wishing you a good time soon.

We have to move this is major repairs that need to be done that we did not know were wrong until after we moved in. And it is a health hazzard for us to stay. Anyway maybe we will find a place today, or maybe I will make enough money to just go buy a place that would be better...
