I am proud of malaysia because it is fuul of peace and loveness..at the same time, i ashamed because of the corruption, high cost life, media full of propaganda and hypokritism..it seems that i ashamed of malaysia more than i proud of..

I am sure about the peace but loveness maybe not. I think more Malaysian think too much about making money. Some of them will steal, lie, backstabbing, for money. So, I think not much love left in Malaysia.. What others think?

Mat rempit are bad but they just 'noughty boys', they cant do much except noise. I hate 'tonto' my friend, they challenge the police which means they challenge the law of Malaysia. If people ask me I will say Malaysia should declare a war to tonto. What a sham it is not yet a war..

I think Malaysia is proud of its rich natural resources: timbers, tin ores, palm oil, petroleum etc and its peaceful multi racial societies.

No doubt about that. Compare to some other country, we are richer and has potential. Business flourishes! Malaysia was a land of oppurtunity!

Aaa singapore has a case too. It is an efficient country, undeniably. But singapore had became not a good place to live anymore. in singapore, everybody just think about money. they need money to live, they have to have 2 jobs in order to survive in singapore. they will compete for money everyday. In Malaysia we still not that worse, money becomes more important but at least 2 jobs for a person is still not common, even though exists. I just remember something - the greatest resource of a country is its people, what do you think?

A US president said one good things : Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. Malaysia may just satisfies us, but we surely can do something to make Malaysia better!

I'm proud of Malaysia! Proud of everything that makes up Malaysia. Why? 1. We have a unique history. 2. Our economy is stable. 3. We are multiracial. Our country's system is based on constitutional monarchy. But there isn't any, I repeat, ANY country in the world that practises constitutional monarchy that changes the head of the country every 5 years. Talk about unique. Lol How many countries in the world can say that they're are multiracial yet are united? Not many. We as Malaysians can truly stand up straight and say "Malaysians Are United!" We have achieved quite a lot of spectacular feats. We have the tallest twin towers in the world. We have the third longest bridge in the world. Heck, we even invented the world's first microchip with integrated radio antenna. We have no earthquakes, no volcanoes and no hurricanes. We enjoy a stable political environment and good economic growth. What more can we ask? Therefore, I LOVE Malaysia, from the bottom of my heart. Cheers~ =)

Just find me ONE perfect society and I'll shut up. Come on, people! Where's your sense of patriotism? What are all those years' worth of Pendidikan Moral screwed into your head? Although I agree that we still have a long way to go, at least I appreciate our country and am proud of what we are. How many people can actually stand up and say, " I'm a Malaysian!" ?? That's the problem with us Malaysians. We lament too much. We complain too much. Yet we do nothing to rectify the problem. We blame the politicians, yes, but do we act and strive hard to improve ourselves? No. Actions speak louder than words. Politicians can only do so much; it's up to the people if Malaysia is to become a great nation. Of course, our achievements are small and minute compared to those big countries. But just please do remember, they've had a century or more of development, while we had a exactly about 150 years of oppression and colonialism. It's only 50 years after our independence, and we're already complaining about the government? People, please! I agree strongly that mentality plays an important part. But we cannot rely on the government too much. We have to strive to improve - that's the true spirit of Malaysia Boleh. As for our country not being capitalist, I strongly oppose the idea of capitalism. It's an unfair competition and a world where the big fish eats the small fish. US might be powerful because of its capitalistic economy, yet they are deeply divided and racial integration is virtually non-existent. People, just be thankful for what you have, and strive to improve in order to achieve what you DON'T have.

Not a problem of patriotism my friend. If you are in a foreign country like me, then you become more patriotic than ever because you can compare which country is better - Malaysia or other country, you feel responsible to do a thing or two for your country and people. Like me you will feel more things need/have to be done in order to make Malaysia can be proud one!

If you ask me what to improve, my answer will be: 1. Simplify all the govt protocol. For an example, if you want to change a car ownership in Malaysia it may take you weeks, many forms to fill and many people to see. But, in New Zealand it takes just minutes - fill a form and submit it to a post office and you get the new grant/ownership. 2. Every person in government office and private company have to learn to ask "can I help you?" everytime they see a person entering their buildings. What happen now is they avoid to help if they can, we the person who go to their office were treated like a wrong doer! What do you think?
