blue is color??? not sure?!?!?

how do you explain to person who is blind since birth, the color of color blue, or any color?? hehe,, i got this from my sister, and still now i still don't know the answer. so i am asking you guys, maybe you might have the answer on this brain twisting question, hihi... thanks...:)

It's really hard to explain and describe the color to a blind especially that she haven't seen it eversince. But maybe you can describe it this way....Blue is the coolest color - the color of the sky, ocean, sleep, twilight. Blue gives a feeling of distance. A pure blue is the color of inspiration, sincerity and spirituality. Blue is often the chosen color by conservative people.

I heard this similar question in one of the interviews my collegue did to the interns. He asked if you were to pick a color and describe it to the blind, what would you pick? He said, I'd answer black. Id say, black is what you see right now. Pretty clever answer :)

I would suggest using the sense of touch and smell. With blue, I would take them to the fridge and open the door and stand in fromt of it. Blue is a cool color. Yellow is warmth, pink might be a smell such as a flower pink is a gentle color. Use your imagination to think of things that can be associtated with color. Also I bet the association for the blind would have some good tips.
