What do you think is the most popular sport in the world?

I bet soccer is! I want football to be it, but I know for sure that soccer is. Why? I don't know why, other countries just like soccer more than any other sports...What do you think?

Soccer is the most popular sport.Everywhere there's people who likes it.American football is mostly like by americans. This is fuuny:If it weren't for soccer, football wouldn't have never existed.In 1823,William Ebb Ellis was the first person noted for picking up the ball during the soccer game and running with it, thereby breaking and changing the rules. In 1876, at the Massosoit convention,the first attempts at writing down the rules of American football were made.

Futbol or soccer for sure. It is almost a religion in some places like Brazil. The popularity of the World Cup shows that soccer is the most popular sport in the world. It has never caught on much in America though. It did for awhile when Pele was playing, but the league here has struggled some to survive, but is doing better lately, I think. Not even sure if the women's league still exists?

William Ebb Ellis activities lead not to the creation of American Football but to Rugby Football. A bit like American football but without all the protective clothing. Is is often thought that soccer is the most popular sport in UK but I am told there are more people involved with sailing than football! all the best urban

Agreed with you, I think is football also known as Soccer, There are millions of people watching or following the outcome of the FIFA final every 4 years. I am one of them as well, even need to stay up late to watch the finals games.

the soccer of "futbol" in my country is the most popular sport, beacuse is global, other sports are country located like beisbol and cricket, so is difficult play these sports, and the futbol is easy to play, in everywhere not in a cout specific to practice that sport. cheers!!
